Product Code:SAE AMS3892/7
Title:Tow or Yarn, Carbon Fibers, For Structural Composites, GF (OX) 400 (2758) Tensile Strength, 33 (228) Tensile Modulus
Issuing Committee:Ams P Polymeric Materials Committee
Scope: This specification covers one type of continuous multifilament carbon fibers in the form of a tow or yarn (when twisted). The weight per unit length of the tow or yarn is governed by the filament count which is identified by the supplier's grade or material designation. Carbon tow or yarn, derived from a polyacrylonitrile precursor, with typical 400 ksi (2758 MPa) tensile strength and 33 Msi (228 GPa) tensile modulus for use in polyimide matrix structural composites or others which may be exposed to 315 degrees C (599 degrees F) thermal conditions in air and which require high tensile strength and moderate modulus of elasticity in tension.

Title:Electromagnetic Compatibility--Component Test Procedure--Part 42--Conducted Transient Emissions (Cancelled Dec 2010, Superseded by ISO 7637-2)
Issuing Committee:Electromagnetic Compatibility (Emc) Standards
Scope:This SAE Standard defines a component-level test procedure to evaluate automotive electrical and electronic components for Conducted Emissions of transients, and for other electromagnetic disturbances, along battery feed (B+) or switched ignition inputs of a Device Under Test (DUT). Test apparatus specifications outlined in this procedure were developed for components installed in the 12-V passenger cars, light trucks, 12 V heavy-duty trucks, and vehicles with 24 V systems
