【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesgeneralrequirementsandtestmethodsfortechnicalaidsfordisabledpersonswhichareintendedbythemanufacturertobemedicaldevicesforthepurposesofEUDirective93/42/EECconcerningmedicaldevices.Thisstandarddoesnotapplytotechnicalaidswhichachievetheirintendedpurposebyadministeringpharmaceuticalsubstancestotheuser.WhereotherEuropeanStandardsexistforparticulartypesoftechnicalaidsthenthosestandardsapply.However,someoftherequirementsofthisstandardmaystillapplyandmaybespecifiedinthoseotherEuropeanstandardsNOTE:NotalltheitemslistedinENISO9999:1998aremedicaldevices.Contractingpartiesmaywishtoconsiderifthisstandard,orpartsofthisstandardcanbeusedtospecifyaidswhicharenotmedicaldevicesasdefinedintheEUDirective93/42/EEC.
